Shit, I've done that. For what it's worth it was my thumb and didn't break, even though I managed to LOCK the door on it. Hope you thumb isn't broken and that he's answered his phone by now!

Actually, it's my ring finger (right hand, natch). It's swollen & hurts like hell. Can't get hold of Erik & am trying to decide if I should go To the emergency room (I've kept an ice pack on it, but...)

Oh shit. That hurts like a bitch, and there's not much you can do about it. Just put it in a splint and wait 5-6 weeks to heal, and hope it stays straight.
