Meme time!

I stole this from [profile] lizetm, because I'm bored and procrastinating on everything else I should be getting done today. Oh, well, it's Sunday...I guess I can afford to be lazy for awhile. I won't tag anyone, despite what the rules says, but I'd love to see some of the desktops off my f-list if you've got the time to do it.

Rules:
Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.
1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key). (If you have a Mac, push the "apple" key, shift, and three)
2. Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V). If you wish, you can “edit” the image before saving it.
3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
4. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well.

The background is self-explanatory, really...I just love the Executor, and I just love Lambda-class shuttles. Don't remember where I got the image from, though...I'm sure it was when I was searching for images I could use for a cover of one of my Star Wars stories.

You can see me indulging in internet piracy -- I'm downloading a huge packet of Joy Division-related stuff. A lot of that music was on tapes that got eaten over the years, so I'm getting digital replacements (this sort of thing doesn't really jab my conscience too much, since I actually did buy the music back in the day). I've also got the complete Star Wars soundtracks downloaded as well but haven't installed them in iTunes yet. Again, this is stuff I already own, but my internal DVD-ROM drive was starting to croak when I ripped some of the tracks, so they sound like shit and need to be replaced. Basic links to the usual stuff on my desktop...I love my external hard drive and don't know why it took me so long to buy one. Plus, it's a cool metallic red like a nail polish I used to wear back in high school.

Right now I've got Photoshop open because I was canoodling in it yesterday, Word because I finished the chapter to my SW story on Friday but still need to edit it, and iTunes because I was listening to the Episode IV soundtrack. And my mail program, and Suitcase Fusion to manage all my fonts, and Tomato to process the torrent download.

I love my Mac only slightly less than I love my husband and my dog. :-P
