Actually, that would make a pretty funny heraldic symbol. If I had any drawing skills, I might give it a try. (I think pink would have to figure prominently, although I know [am fairly certain] that pink isn't an acceptable heraldic color.)

I just don't know why it is the second I finish a fic I go running off in all directions thinking of sequels, or other things that I want to write but probably will never get around to working on. Just looking at the list of stuff on my "future projects" list at ff.n is enough to make my head explode.

But for those of you who followed Only Eyes to See, I went ahead and made up a cover a couple of days ago...and I'm already halfway through the next chapter. I won't start posting for a few weeks, though...I want to have a couple of chapters in the bank before I start on that.

And I should have been able to get the next chapter of Mandalore's Son up yesterday, except that work went all blooey. So that goes up on Monday, after a three-month hiatus. It's just so close to being done that I just want to finish it and get on with my life. Plus, that's another thing I can move into the "completed" column, which is always a good feeling.

I won't post this cover at ff.n for a while, 'cause it's sort of got a spoiler in it, but if you're hardcore enough to be reading my LiveJournal, then I figure you've earned it. ;-)

Did you really think I would abandon Gorendil indefinitely??

The Overlooked

Hi. Ff.net's buggered again, and won't let me review. So, umm, I tracked you here to squee at you. Because I couldn't go to bed until I said how much I enjoyed this chapter.

The give-and-take between Celeste & Snape continues to be a delight. This bit, though:

Her eyes lit up, and she said, “Really? A wand? For doing magic?”

“Well, they’re not for stirring sauces,” he said sourly.

“You must terrify your students,” she remarked. “Such a scowl! Do you practice it in the mirror every morning while you shave?”

...was especially brilliant! I don't often literally "LOL" at fics online, but this was so perfect, I did.

I really loved Snape the Potions Master ennumerating the ingredients of Celeste's shampoo. It's so wonderfully geeky of him! (And I mean geeky in a good way.)

The witches in purple & red having tea remind me of a conclave of Red Hat Society ladies. I don't know if that was your intention, but it amused me in any case.

And the building sense of danger is giving me the creeps!

Anyhoo, sorry to invade your journal like this, but I've been trying for hours to get into the latest chapter, and finally managed to do so in a roundabout way (my comp. doesn't like ff.n when it's having Troubles) and then it refused to allow me to review.

Thanks for posting it, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

~~goes by Jenn anon on ff.n~~

Well, I feel honored that you tracked me down over here! Don't you just love ff.n? I swear, that site has more bugs than the entomology wing at the Museum of Natural History!

And I did mean to evoke the Red Hat biddies. ;-) Thanks for noticing that!

Don't worry about invading my journal -- that's what it's here for. Here's hoping ff.n gets its head out of its hindquarters soon, although it seems that when things break over there they invariably take at least 48 hours to fix. Sigh.

Next chapter is already started, but it probably won't be up until the middle/end of the week.

YES! YES! YES!
*falls over in fits of glee*

I watched Stigmata yesterday. I've never had a thing for priests, but phew, that Father Kiernan...

That's funny -- I've only seen the first few opening minutes of Stigmata....guess I should have stuck it out (I didn't know that GB was in it at the time).

I'm such a loser, I'll probably start posting the sequel in a week or so. (I have no life.) :-P

The glee I get from your stories probably makes me even worse, if that is of any consolation :)

I didn't like Stigmata the first time I saw it, but it grew on me. And honest, it's not because of Gabriel.

Hey, we can all be pathetic losers together. :-P

Speaking of which, I just updated Mandalore's Son! It's a miracle!

A sequel???!!! Woohoo!!!! :D

You know, it's funny... In my mind, I envision Gorendil looking like the main signer in 'E Nomine's Mitternacht' vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXytaD5AKyM). It could simply be the fact that I fell upon the video while browsing YouTube while reading your story.

I actually imagine Sarah looking like you in your profile picture; you're so much prettier than Alexa Davalos in my opinion and I see the costume-creation connection between you both.

I think it's really cool that you make covers for your fanfics, I admire the fact that you put so much work into updating and completing your stories -- it's so easy to lose the motivation.

Anyway, I'm really hyped up about the sequel!! Keep it up, you're doing a great job!!

You know, that singer is pretty cute, but he seems a little...young...to be Gorendil. I guess I just pictured someone a little craggier. But it's always fun to hear how other people have visualized my characters.

BTW, thank you for the compliment! That photo is sort of old now, but I keep it on my profile because it's one of my favorites of me. ;-)

I love doing the covers because it keeps my creative energies flowing even on the days I don't really feel like writing (which have been few and far between these days, luckily).

Sequel will start up in the next couple of days. Chapter 1 is finished, and Chapter 2 is about two-thirds done. I'm a glutton for punishment. :-P
