...I was messing around on my husband's laptop, thinking it would be fun to do an update from the living room, now that he has this fun wireless card in it, and I get the whole entry written...and then I go down to fill in the fields at the bottom of the page, and the whole thing gets spontaneously eaten. Uh-huh. Now, as far as I can tell, I didn't push any buttons that I shouldn't have, but there it went...two hundred laboriously produced words ('cause the controls on that thing bite wang) gone in an instant.

This girl's stickin' to Macs from now on. Feh.

So anyway, at least ff.n's gotten its head out of its collective ass and allowed me to post updates, as well as my new Snape story, which I'm sure will get buried in a heartbeat, since there are a bazillion stories in the HP category. But what the heck -- I really wanted to write it, so if nothing else it will give me some experience writing yet another difficult male character. (Seems to be my trend these days.)

In honor of Snape, I'm going to postulate the question I launched at elemental_evil yesterday: If you could have sex with any fictional character (book, movie, play, comic, TV show), who would it be? (This of course is purely hypothetical and assumes that you would be unattached to have sex with said character and that you would be having a good hair day whenever said hypothetical sex occurs.)

Mine, in case you haven't guessed, is Snape. ;-) (Well, Snape played by Alan Rickman.) Just love that snarky man in black! And that voice...(fans herself). OK, I'm back now. But come on -- look at him!

This is why I shouldn't get stuck in traffic on the 57 freeway. My mind wanders too much.

Oh, goodie another piece of fanfiction from you I'm definitely going to read. All your fandoms seem to be my fandoms, except Star Wars. :)

And Snape is an obviously good choice. The voice alone spikes up EVERYTHING considerably. :D The man could read out phone books to me and I'd still be happy. I bought the audiobook of Thomas Hardy's "The Return of the Native" just because he's reading it...

What, you don't like Star Wars?? ;-) Hey, I can accept that. I have to say I liked it more before the prequels came out and Darth Vader was turned into hormonal whiny boy.

I am becoming obsessed with Snape. But that's OK, because my husband's wearing that costume at Worldcon this August (of course, I still have to MAKE it, but that's two months off).

Here's the link to the story, 'cause, maaaaaaan, does stuff get buried fast in the HP pages!

Thank you, but I've already bookmarked your author's page to stay updated. ;)

Well, then...never mind! ;-)

I'm trying to do a better job of keeping my profile up-to-date.

Snape---nice.
I think if I were going to bag any character I'd schedule a debaucherous fling with Clive Owen from Closer or Clive from Arthur or Ray Stevenson from Rome or...

I'll have to cut off my list before I sound like a floozy.

Clive is gorgeous...I haven't seen Closer, but he did look amazingly fine in King Arthur. He's definitely on my Top Five Hotties list.

Floozy? Never! This is all between friends. ;-)

Hhhm. Would your Gorendil, who looks awfully like the loverly Gabriel Byrne, count as a fictional character??

Well, it is fanFICTION, so I guess that counts.

I'm honored you'd pick him! (Especially over Boba....) ;-)

I hope you enjoyed your holiday!

Oh heavens, I can't believe I forgot about Boba - who, of course, happens to look awfully like Tem Morrison. Could I... could I have them both?

Meh... the training and visit to the aquarium was great. the rest of it was nondescript!

OK, but not at the same time! :-o

Well, at least it was time off from work! (I can't complain...I've got a nice four-day weekend coming up for the Fourth of July.)

I dunno if it was so much a PC thing as a spontaneous computer blurp...I've had Macs eat entire documents with no explanation too. :> But then I am THE MAC KILLER...or something.

I think I'll stick with Han Solo. My other initial choices were:

a. Jack Sparrow. Too damned squirmy.
b. Cloud Stife. He might be pixelated, but he's a HOT kind of pixelated.
c. Various Jedi, but I don't really want the Force in the bedroom.
d. Jondalar from the Earth's Children series, purely because he is incapable of NOT producing good results, per the author's descriptive love scenes. :)

Wow -- I don't even know who Cloud Stife is. I feel old. And I'd forgotten all about Jondalar...talk about the uber-stud of the prehistoric world. I sort of stopped reading those after the third or fourth one. How many did she end up writing?

Trying to think who else would be on my list, but I'm too fogged over w/Snape at the moment to concentrate. ;-)
